Definitely a diverse set of states Obama is winning. Yet can you believe that up to this week, I read a Caribbean commentator opining that Americans won't want a 'black man in the White House'? Hello...Nebraska, Idaho, Iowa, Utah, North Dakota and Kansas? Can you actually get whiter than Iowa and North Dakota?

As a political junkie myself, I am still up and about watching the analysis of CNN on the great victories of our guys Obama - Nebraska, Washington and Louisiana, all very diverse demographically. I have an idea I need to share with you...offline. You'll love it. Over chocolate and Martinis.lol

Al-Jazeera getting it from West and from East

From the Media Guardian:

"It is 'one of the darkest days for press freedom in the Arab world', according to Rageh Omaar, the respected BBC reporter who left to join Al-Jazeera, the world's most controversial news channel. A document issued earlier this month by the Arab League, which could give its member states the power to close broadcasters who are critical of regimes in the region, marks a new low in the fragile relationship between the network and the governments it reports on.

Caucuses and primaries demystified - for the US politics junkies

I actually just wanted to add this as a document for everyone but can't quite figure out how. So I'll copy and paste it here.


For those following the US elections, the whole caucus, primary system might be a mite confusing - I studied the US political system at university and I'm a political junkie and I still find it complex.
