The Barbados Public Relations Association (BPRA) (http://bajanpr.ning.com) invites students and professionals in public relations and communications to become members of the Association.

Founded by Mrs. Christal P. McIntosh, Chief Innovative Officer of Lyrical Lava PR, the BPRA is a society of communications professionals operating in Barbados or entities domicile in Barbados.

I now invite you to take part in the intriguing discussions on various topics with local professionals on our social network. The fist meeting which will take form of a brainstorming session will take place sometime in the near future, so be apart of this new group. The session will be a critical analysis of the pros and cons associated with the BPRA joining either the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) or the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). We have found that the public relations and business communications sector is growing in Barbados and the BPRA is now seeking to establish a society under which we as PR and Communications professionals can not only share our professional experiences abd network, but to also increase our credibility and become internationally visible.

What's your thought?

As a member of the Association, I have gone ahead and posted the proposed PR Plan for the first meeting. Let us know what you think.

Your ideas , suggestions and experience is important to the Associations's growth.

We look forward to your participation!

What do you hope to gain from joinning our association?
I see this as the perfect forum to link, integrate and share in the great profession we have chosen. It is a way to share information, feed off each others concern and of course create an entity that stands up for our rights ie. freedom of speech, as journalist.
