Profile Information

Career position?
I am the creator of this Association which is not unlike many that have cropped up but my goals include a more interactive and, indeed, active association within the Caribbean and internationally. This is especially taking into consideration the new economic issues that visit us in the region through trade liberalization and globalization which are indeed fueled by the internet and other communication tools.
Organization and role
President - Association of Caribbean Media Professionals
What do you hope to gain from joinning our association?
I have enormous goals and a vision regarding forming this association. On the one hand, we are so many in disparate fields of communications - photography, blogging, journalists, corporate communications specialists, marketing executives and advertising & account executives. Just imagine should we meet at a seminar, or webinar, just how much networking and information sharing and education of one body we can do over time. In addition, it is about time that we get the respect we deserve as critical members of the organizational structure; people who are part of a team which involves image building and fueling the bottom line through our expert knowledge. Our future looms large!

Thank you for creating this website. It shows that you have vision for the noble profession. However, I think that it is a sad day when someone who is no longer active in the field decided to take on this task. It does not paint a good picture about the journalists in the Caribbean. The website is long over due and thank you once again.
